OUR HISTORY

As far as memory and records can recall , in the year of 1899 a group of Christian Leaders came together and made plans to form a congregation where God`s people can come together and worship.

Plans were made to build a church , which would be named ,SHADY GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH .

Our Pastor Rev. Michael Springer Sr. has taught us what it takes to make a great church .

Not soft seats and subdued lights , but courageous leadership.

Not sweet tones of the organ ,but sweet personalities

Not tall towers ,but lofty visions 

Not a big budget ,but big hearts 

Not monies received , but services rendered 

Not a large membership , but God`s presence 

Not what he has done in the past , but what he is doing for Christ now and in the future .
